Well what better way to mark our tenth anniversary of Uniqueworks, than with a new start? … Well an ending and a beginning..

We are tremendously sad to announce the closure of our beloved little furniture shop in Narberth. We opened our doors at 62A St James Street in 2015, with a bit of trepidation but masses of hope and enthusiasm. We did all the decorating ourselves and plumped for classy dark grey, ivory and gold décor to show off all that natural wood to best advantage. We’ve filled our space with so many of Jake’s beautiful, craftsman-made bookcases, cabinets and chairs, not to mention benches, dressers, settles, coffee tables, dining tables, TV tables, console tables, occasional tables and every other sort of table inbetween! Lots of other lovely handcrafted goodies too, to complement what we did – driftwood lamps, local art, nature-inspired jewellery and ceramics, funky wooden homewares – turned, hewn or whittled. Our philosophy was always to sell only things that had been individually made by actual people, and not machines. Around 95% of what we’ve sold was made within 22 miles of our shop.

Sadly, the economic climate has not been kind to small independent retailers and we have had to go along the road of realism, rather than optimism – and so we have reluctantly made the decision to close Uniqueworks shop. Our last day will be Saturday 30^th March 2019.

But we are happy to say that we will be continuing our furniture-making business, based from our workshops in Pembroke Dock and venturing into a brave new future with our own online shop. We will also continue with all our usual bespoke services, creating personal furniture commissions directly with our customers.

More info will be to follow, but for now, we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone we’ve worked with and to all our customers, family and friends who’ve supported us at the shop. We will miss you.

Goodbye to Narberth – we’ve loved being here.
