Over the last few months we‘ve had the singular privilege of working with renowned chef Matt Powell, to make furniture for his innovative new Annwn Restaurant at Lawrenny. We’ve used beautiful native oak burr wood to create four bespoke dining tables, which complement Matt’s deep love and use of natural and local Welsh produce. Annwn opened last week, amidst great acclaim and affection.

Matt is a remarkable chef with over 20 years experience and has worked for Raymond Blanc and in Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe. Inspired by his rural Pembrokeshire surroundings and by memories of his own Welsh upbringing and cultural heritage, Matt uses only locally found and Welsh ingredients to offer a truly unique foraging and fine dining experience, with a genuine sense of place.
To mirror this love for nature, we have sourced fantastic, gorgeously grainy oak burr wood from the Welsh borders and created all the new dining tables for the restaurant, including the seriously handsome ‘Chef’s Table’, located close to the open-view kitchen, where guests can sit, anticipate and soak up the atmosphere, as Matt creates his dishes.

Each of the tables is of a different design and has been individually crafted by Jake at our workshop in Pembrokeshire.
