Celebrating Valentine’s with style, Uniqueworks are offering a really fabulous prize for customers buying our dining tables between February 1^st and 18^th – a fine dining experience for two at this celebrated restaurant, with our compliments.

The Grove, an award-winning luxury country house hotel, nestling in the heart of the Pembrokeshire countryside, is rightly renowned for its 3AA Rosette restaurant. Their food is prepared by acclaimed Executive Chef, Allister Barsby, celebrating the very best of Pembrokeshire produce from land and sea, together with organically grown vegetables and herbs from The Grove’s own kitchen gardens.

Uniqueworks have four beautiful dining tables to choose from, each hand-crafted from solid Welsh wood at our small workshop. From February they will be available to view at our shop, St James St, Narberth – see below for more details. The first lucky purchasers of each of these dining tables will receive a voucher wallet entitling them to a complimentary dinner for two from the A La Carte menu at The Grove. The tables will be sold on a first come first served basis.

A Classic Welsh Oak Dining Table

Full of character, this dining table was crafted to show off the beautiful dark and grainy Welsh oak, from a tree which once grew in the grounds of Picton Castle, one of Pembrokeshire’s grand stately homes. The table’s glorious deep colour stems from the fact that the timber has been seasoning slowly and naturally for nearly twenty years.  As a dining table, it should last another two hundred! The table has contemporary styling, chunky wide-set legs and a slim rail for extra leg room. The top has been beautifully finished by hand to a pleasing sheen. The table will seat six – eight people. (Chairs not included).

Welsh Lacewood Drop-Leaf Dining Table

Created with a  certain vintage styling, this is a practical and beautiful drop-leaf table, made from marvellously rare and patterned Welsh lacewood, which is also known as the wood of the London Plane Tree – common in the capital, but only grown as an ornamental tree here in West Wales. Because of the quirky character of this spalted wood, this table already has a vintage feel about it which has become a pleasing feature of the piece.

Otherwise called a gate-legged or Pembroke table, this style of extendable table is particularly versatile and can be opened or closed to become a full-sized dining table, a square table for four, or a slim console table. If you have surprise extra guests, simply open up the table, et voila, dinner for six.

Grand Wavy- Edge Welsh Yew Dining Table

This table is made from an ancient yew tree from Llampumsaint Churchyard. Such large pieces of yew are rare & make a special & prestigious piece of furniture. The grain on the table is very beautiful & looks like the illustrated hills & contours on a really old map. The yew wood is smoothed and polished by hand to feel like silk. A once in a lifetime table and Jake’s personal favourite.

Large Dark Welsh Oak Dining Table

This characterful and generously-sized dining table is made from beautiful dark oak boards from a tree which once grew in the Towy Valley, Carmarthenshire. A classic family centrepiece, this is an antique in the making.

This table is being offered for sale again, after our customers decided on a larger sized bespoke table, after initially purchasing this one from us. There are two small cracks in the end, which have been expertly restored by Jake, and the table has been re-finished so that it is as good as new, whilst retaining great character. Original cost £2,195.
